On Wednesday 16th May, Kleanthis Savva Developers held its regular Blood Donation Day at the company’s head office in Chloraka, Paphos.  Around 60 people came to give blood over the 2 hours, with queue forming all the way from inside to outside.  Those who gave blood were of many different nationalities who came together in order to help save lives.

The team of Paphos’ Hospital came and set up 6 beds for people to lie on as they gave their ½ litre of blood.  Questionnaires had to be filled in first to establish whether blood could be given, available in both Greek and English, and then the trained doctors and nurses checked the donors blood pressure and took the blood.  After a short rest, the donors helped themselves to a light snack and fruit drinks and received their certificate and plaque to commemorate their contribution to “Kleanthis Savva’s Blood Bank”.

“We would like to thank everyone who gave blood.  It will mean a great deal to someone, when it is used to save their life.  Giving blood is easy and we would like to urge anyone who is thinking about it to give blood and to do it regularly,” said Kleanthis Savva of Kleanthis Savva Developers Ltd.

Kleanthis Savva Developers believe in giving something back to society and took the initiative three years ago to hold a Blood Donation day and this has now become an established annual event.
