KATO PAPHOS - EXO VRISSI AREA

Exo Vrisi is an area attached to a larger zone which is known as Universal, although both are in the catchment area of the better known Kato Paphos. Kato Paphos is a predominantly tourist area having the harbour as its main focal point, but probably most noteworthy is the fact that the area is a World Heritage listed archaeological site. The Tombs of the Kings is probably the most well known of the sites, with fine mosaics closeby of which the most spectacular and largest were excavated  in the House of Dionysos – the God of wine. The catacombs of Ayia Solomoni are brought to ones attention by a tree bearing pieces of material tied to the branches – it is said that anyone who fastens a piece of their clothing to the branches of the tree is cured of chronic illness.Nearby is the Odeion of Paphos, which is today used as it was originally intended to be as an outdoor arena for summer concerts and drama performances. There is a great deal of history attached to this area and it is well worth buying a guide and exploring the sites that are of interest to you. To search for available properties click here.
